Important changes to the business

Dear Customer

I write to inform you of some beneficial changes that will be coming into place from the 29th April 2024.

Although in some ways it seems a long time ago, when the covid virus came along, we all had to adapt and make changes and as a business one of the main things was investing in technical services to operate.

I have been looking for an alternative system for some time, and have been working with my friends at Hanover Dairies to be able to offer my customers a more advanced and efficient system for payments as well as flexibility on changing orders via an online system.

The other reason why I have been looking at other options is due to personal reasons. As you will be aware we are a small family run business. My Daughter Lisa who manages customer enquiries and payments has recently had a baby and it was her that asked if we could look at a better system that benefited the customers but would also save time on the manual processes, so she could manage working hours with the new baby. In fairness she did give me 8 months' notice to work on this!

My wife Helen who also works in the business suffered an accident and although she will be fine, she will be unable to work for a considerable amount of time while she recovers.

I am therefore delighted to announce that after further discussions with Hanover Dairies they will provide my customers with a system that can offer you many benefits for payment options, flexibility on ordering via an online system or call their friendly customer service team who will also be helping us at this time.

Please be assured that there are no changes to your milkman, the local British products we supply or the local depot it operates from, you will receive the same service on deliveries with the partnership we have with Hanover Dairies.

Please find attached a welcome pack from Hanover Dairies with all the information you will need to set up payments and the different payment options available.

To make sure of a smooth transition of the accounts I will issue you with a final invoice up to week ending 27th April 2024. If you could please pay that to me by the current method.

As for deliveries from Monday 29th April can you please pay any monies for milk deliveries to Hanover Dairies by your preferred payment option.

As informed by Mickey Day at Blunham Dairy, to help streamline operations we will be looking after all payments for the business and offering an efficient online system. We are happy to help your milkman carry on the job he loves and continues the tradition of local milk supplies to your community.

We pride ourselves on the service we provide and strive to keep the tradition of doorstep deliveries alive, with local communities at the heart of what we do.

  • Direct Debit form (Easy Way to Pay)

  • Pre-paid return envelope

  • Fridge magnet

  • TipTop milk bottle lid to keep your milk fresh

  • Customer information form - can you please complete and return in the pre-paid envelope supplied

If you can please pay Hanover Dairies as from Monday 29th April for any future bills and there are a few ways you can pay:

  • Weekly or monthly Direct Debit

  • Card payment online

  • Card payment over the phone- call 01223 606873

  • Leaving cheque/ cash out for your milkman to collect whilst delivering

  • Bank Transfer - details will be provided at the top of the first invoice

You can also register on our website to manage your account online, once your registered you can set up your Direct Debit, pay by card, manage deliveries, add holidays etc. To do this simply go to, click my account and then activate.
